Great condition.
Course is in great condition for the price, fair ways are all green and plush, greens are decent and roll well. Definitely not an easy course have to place shots, will play again.
Great challenge
Played course this weekend. Having heard of it by others decided to view for myself. I thought layout was great! Despite visible aeration, greens are still in good condition. Fairways where also nice. Overall i will be going back and taking my group in the near future.
Good but not great
After during across the DFW metroplex about an hour hour to play what we thought would be a great course and after paying $50 bucks we went to the practice putting greens to find it had just been sanded! I looked over and see the guy sanding the 9th green, what a disappointment! They could have told us when we made our tee time or at least when we paid our hard earned money before we teed off! Sand wound collect on your ball as it rolled across the green, we had sand all over our putters, it was very disappointing! After we played 9 holes we saw a worker brooding the sand on the greens after we had played them, we ran into one of the workers blooming the greens on # 15, so we played on all but one green with fresh sand on it.
Great track; tough test
If this was your home course, you would travel well. Playing this course from the tips is brutal. Move up to tame this brute.
Pathetic Pace of Play
Robt Trent Jones Course, but the condition of the greens this time of year are horrible. Bent greens do not do well in TX. There's even common bermuda growing all over the bent, so some greens are a hybrid. Pitch marks everywhere. The big issue is pace of play. Took 5 hours on a Sunday morning to play 18. Had an early morning tee time and couldn't finish in under 5:00. That's inexcusable.
Sky Creek Ranch
This course is a fun course to play...difficult but definitely fun. Sixteen holes have a water hazard. Ladies, there are no women's tees but don't let that stop you from enjoying the course. Right now the fairways and greens are in great shape. Being Texas and the summers being usually brutal having green fairways and greens is a plus.
staff
Pricey for what you get. The course is in good shape and plays well.
The staff on the other hand is very rude. From the tournament director to the club house guy. Because of the tournament director I will not spend my money there. Ever.
