Best course around
Amazing layout and excellent conditions. Be warned if it’s hot out, no breeze amongst the big trees. Cold towel at the end is a refreshing touch.
Expensive for the level of amenities
The course is in good shape but for the money I think the level of amenities here is not that great. First six holes are the toughest. Water on 16 of 18 holes. Would recommend but there are better values around.
Sky Creek Ranch
The course is in great shape and the new Bermuda greens are looking fantastic! Its a fairly challenging track, with dog legs and blind shots. The creek comes into play 16 out of the 18 holes. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. design is a great test for all skill levels
Challenging Course
Challenging course in great shape. It was fun to play.
Great pace of play
For a Saturday afternoon round the pace of play was ideal. Even more so when considering it was cart path only due to heavy rain the days before. Pro shop staff was extremely courteous and helpful>
Nice Course
Good course - nice, friendly staff. Course condition were better than most I’ve played lately, considering time of year. Greens were nice but slow. I will go there again for sure.
The Ranch
Well allround great time tee it up at 1:00 . The fairways we fast the greens were punched a few days ago. I must say they rolled better then some non punched greens. The course was quite the challenge .
You have to pay attention to the creeks and water. The course was worth the drive from S Arlington.Thank you for a great time staff.
Very enjoyable round.
The course was very enjoyable, greens were fast and straight today. Our first time on the course and had no problem getting from hole to hole with plenty of cart path signs providing direction.
Fun Course To Play
The course was in very good condition. The greens were fast, challenging, but fair. The multiple tee boxes makes the course playable for almost all skill levels. The staff was friendly and eager to help. However, they have a weird rule where they won't sell food to anyone right before they play or on the turn. They claimed it keeps up the pace of play. They also said their "cart girl" had food we could purchase. It was 30 degrees the day we played, no one was out there including the "cart girl." Other than that and the cold weather everything was great. I highly recommend the course and look forward to playing it in better weather.
Should be more highly rated
This course deserves a higher rating than it's getting. It is a wonderful layout with a nice variety of long and short holes. Greens are always true. The upside of its lower rating is because it is not on the DFW map of "great" courses, the pace of play is wonderful. Please, keep it a secret.
Not fair to judge in the winter maybe?
Too much to pay in the winter for a course like this. Drove 40 minutes, would not do again.
Closing to install new greens
Course and clubhouse have made some improvements in year since I played there last. The grill is now a full sports bar. The range has new range ball machine. Did not really like hitting off the pad on the range. NO way to tee up the ball. The area had been hit by significant ranis and did drain fairly well. The bunkers were full of water and ducks in them. Course is closing July 5th for new greens install. Practice areas & clubhouse will be open.
Great Course w/ Challengig Layout
The course was in good condition overall - just a few bumps and brown patches on some greens. The course layout was awesome and challenging throughout. I would defintely recommned the course to others and will play again myself this summer.
Great condition.
Course is in great condition for the price, fair ways are all green and plush, greens are decent and roll well. Definitely not an easy course have to place shots, will play again.
