The Olympic at Gold Mountain Golf Course
About
Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington offers two championship courses, the Olympic and Cascade, both of which are known as two of the best public courses in the greater Seattle area. The Olympic Course is the more challenging of the two with more hills and water hazards. Dramatically sculpted from the thick Pacific Northwest forest, the driving corridors are surprisingly generous. Towering evergreens line the fairways and there are significant elevation changes throughout, making it a complete workout to walk the course. The layout's most challenging element is the undulating greens, which are often guarded by bunkers and mounding. The final four holes are the most memorable featuring a combination of water, trees, and stunning views. The final hole on the Olympic Course is a drivable par 4 that is the perfect finish to your round.

While we're young!
Love the Olympic Course, but Gold Mountain has slipped several notches since Scott Alexander departed. A 5 1/4 hour round was ridiculous even on a Saturday afternoon. Were all the marshals working the Bremerton City Am on the Cascade course?
Old Mountain
This was a beautiful golf course. Conditions were great. Bring your camera. There are numerous signature holes. Only negative was pace of play was below average, but you probably won't care
Amazing Muni!!!!!
A friend and I played both the Olympic and Cascade courses and it was an awesome 36 holes of golf. This is easily one of the top 5 municipal courses in the U.S. and the absolute best value (via golfnow.com) for anything of this high quality.
The landscape, views, flora, and fauna were nothing short of spectacular... at least when we played.
Cheers
Wet but great!
Paired up with 3 course regulars. Great guys and helpful. Rained for 11of 18 holes. Course in excellent shape and handled the rain well. Plays long, recommend playing down a tee. Tough walk.
Memorial Day Weekend
Staff is amazing at Gold Mtn, and the course is in excellent shape. My only comment would be that maybe the starters could remind people to fix their ball marks on the greens, I repaired 5-7/hole just waiting for my turn to putt on each green.
Scenic pristine course
We have played Golf Mt. Cascade Course many times, but accidentally booked the Olympic Course this time. At first we were a little intimidated, knowing that this course is more difficult and used for tournaments. But once on the course, we found it was in excellent condition and not as scary as we thought it would be. It was not crowded at all and the tall green trees and the snow-capped mountains and the sunny weather made for a pleasant day (if not a low-scoring one). The fairways are very narrow in places and some holes seemed long, but all in all if you can hit relatively straight and are a good putter, you will do well. Practice your putting before you go; green are a bit tricky. Enjoy!
Great layout! Greens could have been better.
Course plays very long for the yardage. Very scenic, and fun to play. THE ROUGH IS VERY SEVERE!!!
May be too tough for an average player? A players golf course.
An awesome day of golf
After a few holes, it is obvious why it is rated the #2 municipal course in the country. The weather was also perfect, which added to the great experience. It is hilly, though, so if you are walking, it is quite a workout (e.g. climb up a 3-story hill to get from the 18th. green back to the clubhouse).
Good day
Went out for a relaxing day with a friend. Got paired up with another twosome- nice guys. Course was great but pace of play on back nine was slow. Ended up playing a five hour round but with the sun and beautiful course was not a big deal.
Great Course
Do not let the pace of play scare you we were behind a collegiate championship and had to play a little slower then usual ( one time occurrence). Love this course and would play it every day if it were not so far.
Washington favorite
One of my favorite courses in Washington ! The Olympic course is a great challenging layout , and always in good condition.
What a great 18 holes
My third time playing this course over the last 5 years and the first time I played well. Even as wet as the month has been, at the end of play I had no mud or grass on my shoes. The fairways were wonderful and the greens just a perfect roll. The bunkers are still a bit wet but you can get out.
A day in the sun
The course was in real good shape .You can tell the crew there takes pride in their work
I found the coarse to be challenging enough to make it enjoyable
Olympic Course
Very challenging with Tee's that will accommodate all levels of golfers. With tree lined fairways accuracy is a must to score well. The greens are true but difficult and will make you look twice at a couple of puts. Suggest you ride as there are of couple of hills you will not want to walk up and the distance between green and tees. Great practice facilities so I would recommend getting there a little early to take advantage of the practice range, Hot Dogs are pretty good also.
Pleasantly surprised
I've played the Olympic course many times, but this outing was during a record rainy March. Once on the 1st fairway, i couldn't believe how firm things were... overall course conditions were marvelous!.
It was rainy but the course was beautiful
Will definitely be going back. My new fav course. Every hole was something new. Worth every penny. Drinks we good too.
FUN COURSE!
This course was so fun - many interesting features. Loved the hole that had only a lake as its fairway, followed by a lovely sand trap, then the green. No rain on the front nine; got soaked on the back nine. But no snow!! Nice pro-shop. Great place for golf lessons too.
Amazing Deal for Top of the Line Course
What a fabulous day of golf we had and for only about 23 dollars!
cascaded or olimpic good solid ground
yes it was wet & raining this day but the fairways were firm and you got roll. Well wouth the trip
Awesome Course
First time played at Gold Mountain. worth the 1 hour drive from Kent, can't wait to play next year in dry conditions
