slooooow play, no rangers
we gave up after 15 holes. too bad because its an ok little course for the money. not too many choices in yuma. can't be walked as its very spread out in a subdivision. fairways and greens are good enough. layout is interesting enough but not too hard for me from the red tees. we played two rounds over a one week visit and got the best price through golf now.
happy to be in phoenix!
nothing bad to say
Nice relaxing round of golf. Good value, friendly staff, course is in fair to good condition.
There is Water to be Found
My wife and I (both seniors) played this course with friends of ours (also seniors). The fairways proper themselves were quite green but also often quite narrow and bordered on both sides by yellow/dry/dead rough or hard, sandy soil which we seemed to find quite regularly (the wind didn't help). But the ball went a good way down the fairway/rough, often further than we anticipated. In most places the fairways we generous in width but there are a couple of places where the houses lining the fairways are a little closer than I prefer. The greens were in reasonably good condition, moderately fast and for the most part quite level (a few greens were sloped). They were often well-bunkered as well. Water came into play on quite a few holes so look at the diagram of the course on the scorecard before teeing off. Pace of play was alright - we did the 18 in about 4.5 hours. Overall we had a fun time, enjoyed the day and would play here again.
1/18/15
Nice course don't go off the fairway it gets pretty nasty. Overall had a good time and would defiantly return.
Very good
Great value you please keep getting this coarse. Very nice
nice and difficult course
cours is getting bettter and new grass apply should help a lot, thank you very much...
Over seeding. \\\\\\\\\\\\\fairways are long
greens are still long and over seeded. fairways are long and will be good in the future. Price was excellent
Better than expected
This time of year tends to a time courses are just getting to good shape after the long hot weather of the summer season. The fairways and greens were in very good shape and choosing it turned out to be a wise decision.
9 Holes review
GolfNow published this course but did not noticed tha t was under maintenance and it was open only 9 holes. The price for public was $20.00 Dls, I paid $45 x 2 people online, so at the end I paid $5 extra dls. This was not fair. When I did the check in the front desk employee of the course did not have any notification that I had already paid. He trusted in me and let me play
Mesa Del Sol at Yuma foothills
The course has always been a challenge, not over difficult but you have control ball flight. Course located within housing complex. My issues deal with fairway conditions; as watering is a concern. No on course amenities and club is closed in the morning and really don't offer anything other than drinks. It used to be a good course because it had everything. I still enjoy playing there just wish the course and facilities were better taken care of
Good Course
Mesa Del Sol was a pretty good course. I got the discount tee time and it wound up being less than $10 for me to play so the value was about as good as it gets. I played by myself and got through the round in about 2.5-3 hours, on a hot Sunday afternoon. The course was in pretty decent shape for it constantly being 100+ degrees everyday. There were some thin patches of grass/dirt on every hole and in just about evry fairway, in the common landing areas. The greens were fairly slow (~6-7 on the stimpmeter, if I had to guess) and bumpy. It was hard to get a good roll on most of them outside of 10'. I would play this course again though, especially paying as little as I did. Keep your tee shots as straight as you can though, as most of the course has houses lining OB, some have nets, some don't.
Good day of golf
Nice outing, Staff are great and golfing here is always enjoyable
Course in fairly rough shape
First of all the cart was dirty. Plexiglass and the front of cart needed better taking care of. I thought the fairways were in for the most part in rough shape. Many times my ball sat down between lumps of grass, etc. and didn't get a good lie. One hole even had a small lake on the right side of the fairway that resulted from a water leak somewhere. Many other examples of bad course conditions. Also, the greens were pretty wooley and slow. I would say somewhere between 7-9 on the stimp meter.
Average for yuma
I would play this course again. While we were down
Here we also played Coyote Wash which I think you
Should add to golf now.com.
Full short course
Played back nine....unfortunately had two groups who were playing 18 annoyed that we were in the middle of them. After they got ahead, no waits and no one behind us....seems strange to have booked a time that obviously put us into the mix for 18 holers
Greens need work....fairways need better watering.

Several holes have blind shots off the tee. Fun!!!
