Legendary Run Golf Club
About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

Beautiful course
Really enjoyed the layout... pretty open course with some interesting holes.... links style course with some reachable par 5’s.... very fast, but true greens... plush fairways and tee boxes... will definitely be going back... there’s also a nice driving range on site to warm up before heading out
Fun Course!
Course design was a lot of fun. Course was in great condition especially considering the fact it was early January. Fun to play a course with all kinds of elevation and dog legs. Would recommend to anyone!
Horrendous Pace of Play
Just played a 5.5 hour round of golf at Legendary Run. Waited over 10 minutes between each shot with no marshal to be found anywhere on the course on one of the busiest days of the week. Pace of play is consistently very slow at this course and wouldn’t recommend playing here if you are looking to play in a reasonable amount of time.
Inexcusably Slow
The course in itself is well-kept and in Good Condition. This does not make-up for the incredibly, painfully, slow play. Read the reviews and thought that maybe it was the weekend that the slow play reviews were coming from, nope. Played at noon today had to quit after 14 at 4.5 hours into the round. Had I been able to finish it would have been over 5.5 hours to play the round. This is inexcusable.
The assistant professionals and ranger is driving around, but they have no idea how to handle this, they appear not to say anything to anyone... When a group gets out of position you give them 15 minutes to get back to pace, if they can't you make them skip forward to get back into position as to not hold up the rounds of all the other golfers on the course. After you tell the out of position group to move it along you let the groups behind them know that you've told them to speed it up and tell them to keep up to make up for the time.
5.5 hours is a 144 player shotgun round on a Monday. Not midweek regular play. Waiting 10 minutes on almost every hole to hit. Not like you sent 2 4 somes out on every hole, really it ruins the day, and as nice as the course is there are plenty of quality courses in the tri-state that I can't see myself ever wanting to come back.
Staff
Staff were very unfriendly. My friend accidentally left his club on course. We went back through after our round to try to find it. One of the staff members driving by yelled at us in a nasty tone asking us what we were doing. Also drove by other staff drivers throughout round and did not get a wave or hello. I understand with holiday that it is typically busier, but still should be able to be friendly.
Disappointed
Have played this course before. Never disappointed. Always in good shape and never more than 4.5 hrs. Not sure what happened this past Saturday but 5.5 hours in 90+ degree heat was not fun. We waited 25 minutes on one tee box. Can’t recommend weekend play. We’ll try again in the spring.
Fun Course
What a treat to play a variety of different holes. The greens were in great shape and the tee boxes and fairways were very good. Highly recommend.
Ben
Besides wet conditions which isn’t the course fault! Place was amazing, free lunch was a deal too
Great course
Enjoy playing here and there driving range is what your looking for. I’ll be back.
Worth a google
Played in January but the curse was in decent shape anyway. They are working on the layout. Can’t wait to see it in the spring.
