Legendary Run Golf Club
About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

"Legendary" Conditions
Course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition and had not yet been subjected to aeration or top-dressing for the end of the season.
Way overpriced
Course layout is great the condition is not worth what they charge you. Just played a six hour round Marshall’s do little to nothing to hurry slow groups and they overbook tee times. The vineyard and elks run nearby much more bang for your buck
Greens and Grunge
I love Legendary Run and play it frequently every year. They have had some problems with their greens this season - not sure if it's a fungus or what but some were in pretty poor condition. Otherwise well maintained.
Best in the area!
If you are in the Cincinnati are, you need to make it out to this course. Challenging but fair and in excellent condition. #5 is one of the most difficult holes in Cincinnati but still really fun. I highly recommend playing 18 if you can since the two nines are completely different styles. The staff is top notch and the restaurant has some great selections.
High Price-Poor Condition
The greens were in very poor condition. You can see the dried out mower tracks. Several greens has "dead" spots of grass. Almost ALL greens had ball marks not repaired. The rough was extremely high...needed cut. The price of $67.00 is outrageous for the course and its conditions. Had to wait on every hole. The course is in dire need of a course marshal AND intensive green management. Would not recommend playing. there several other course nearby that are in better condition AND better priced!
Need to do something about pace of play
Please please please hire a ranger. Way too nice a course to always be so backed up. I’m laying in my cart as 3 groups are on #4 and the group behind us is also waiting for us.
Unfortunately this isn’t uncommon
Challenging layout in need of some work
Legendary Run is a great course that presents a very challenging layout. Shot placement is key and the greens are on the smaller size. We noticed quite a bit of wear on the tee's and greens. Obviously the course gets a lot of play, and too many players are not fixing divots or ball marks. Pace of play was good.
Good Experience
Staff was Great, Practice facilities worked, great value for Sunday afternoon round, lunch included, bucket of balls was 5 bucks. Pace of play was SLOW on front 9 but could have just been the group in front, opened on on back 9. Def will go again.
What a fantastic course in Greater Cincinnati area
The course is one of the fantastic public golf course in Cincinnati area. If you play 18, the course offers free lunch with drink. Green, fairway, and all other facilities have been maintained very well.
Great round.
Course was crowded for mid week tee time, but still played at a good pace.
Unique layout. Private club experience
Front 5 back nine are polar opposites so it's like buying a sampler platter of traditional North Amercain Golf & European Golf.
Golf carts are sweet with blue tooth compatibility & Phone charger.
Greens & tee boxes show signs of a lot of recent rounds but it's expected at a value daily fee course.
The rangers & clubhouse employees go out.of there way to accomadate customers. Very refreshing.
The female employees are stunningly beautiful.
nice course-strange policy
One of my favorite courses in Cincinnati area. Course is in nice shape.
However we ran into a strange policy that disappointed me. They are apparently running some type of promotion where you get a free lunch with 18 holes. Discovered this when the twosome playing with us gave the lady two tickets to pay for there lunch. we paid cash for ours as we had no tickets. She said go talk to pro shop about it. Checked with them after the fact and found out if you book with GolfNow they "sometimes"don't give out the lunch tickets.
Would have appreciated a cart girl, it was a very hot day
