Good round ruined by surly staff.
First, the good:
Long, difficult course from the gold tees. We loved the elevation changes, and the length to this course. The clubhouse was amazing. You truly feel like you are in Tuscany.
Unfortunately, the bad:
There were rocks and gravel in the bunkers. The greens were lacking grass. I can see around that as they are dormant Bermuda this time of year. However, what I cannot get over is the true surliness of the staff. With the exception of the starter, who could not have been nicer and more engaging, the shop staff and cart staff were rude and didn't care what we thought. We had a great day, played well, and enjoyed the course. We went to hit just a few balls on the range after the round (to work out a kink or two before our round the next day) and were told "you are done" and told to leave. We weren't going to stay more than 5-10 mins, and there were a dozen or so folks still on the range, so we weren't in the way. We were planning to buy pro shop merchandise, eat in the grill, etc., but after the comments, we packed up and left. We won't be back due simply to the staff.
Excellent
Great course. Always remember where the clubhouse is as all putts break towards it. Staff friendly and helpfull
We thank you for playing with us out here at Bella Collina! We hope to see you again soon.
Worth the drive but bring your A game
As stated in other reviews, the facility is beautiful...off the charts for a country club. Staff was great and friendly. Now the course. Wow, one of the more difficult courses I have played anywhere. Large but sloping fairways so you rarely had a level lie...greens were huge but well protected with deep bunkers...tough up and down if you missed them...once on the green they were so large and there was so much undulation that you needed to hit it close...and they rolled very fast.
Overall, a beautiful place and great course. If you are looking for a unique Florida course and a challenge, this is the place for you.
Thank you for the great review! We are very unique to the courses in the area in regards to the slopes, and we are very happy you enjoyed your experience and we hope to see you again soon!
Worth the Trip
This course is a little bit of a drive from Orlando but well worth it. The grounds are pretty incredible. The clubhouse and subsequent facilities are modeled after an Italian village. The course is really pretty and the fairways and greens were consistently well maintained. The course plays a bit long for me but I was still able to manage quite a few GIRs and pars. Right now it is allowing the public to play at certain times but in the future this place will be a completely private club so play it now while you can.
We thank you for coming out to experience Bella Collina, and we are very happy to hear your thoroughly enjoyed the golf course! We hope to see you again soon!
Florida with a view
What a treat. Great layout, doglegs with fairways with opposing slopes. Greens with grain and movement. A lot of elevation changes with only a couple of blind holes.
I will definitely be back again.
Not the easiest to get to so allow extra time in case you make a wrong turn.
Thank you for joining us out at Bella Collina, we are pleased to see you had a great all around experience and are glad to hear that you will be joining us again in the future!
Bring your best game and hope for the best
This is arguably the hardest course I have run into in 50 years of golfing. It offers up to 7600 yards of demanding shots. Length alone will not make your day because the course demands controlled shots to specific places and distances.
It is always in great shape with fast running greens. The facilities are beyond belief beautiful. The views are scenic. The staff treats you like a member at a private facility.
At the end of the day I always feel like O gave it my all but maybe I just don't have enough in the tank to beat this place. I always want to come back and try again. I recommend this facility for good players that are up to a significant challenge.
Bella Collina is regarded as one of the more difficult golf courses in the area, but we are very happy to hear you had a fun time! Come back and see us soon!
Bella Collina never disappoints!
This is by far my favorite course in Central Florida! The course is always in excellent condition and the range is fantastic. This course offers the feeling of not even being in Florida. It takes advantage of the rolling hills and has a tuscan feeling. The club house is the most beautiful I have seen at any course I have played at. I would certainly recommend this course and can't wait to go back.
The course is certainly challenging though. Choose your tee box wisely, some of the holes can play pretty long. The greens are quick and essentially blemish free. The rough is pretty thick this time of year so being in the fairway is ideal.
We thank you for this great review of Bella Collina, as we strive to be the BEST in Central Florida, it is nice to hear that we are highly regarded by individuals. We thank you for your support and hope to see you again soon!
If you only play one course in Orlando
This place is amazing. I've played most placed in and around Central Florida now but this place absolutely holds the crown for me. Totally challenging course that's more like a links that anything Grand Cypress can throw at us. Really amazing setting amongst roving hills (yes in Florida) and the clubhouse and facilities are second to none. This is a top day out and I'll be going back, if not applying for membership.
We thank you for playing here at Bella Collina, and are happy to hear that you had a great experience. We hope to see you again soon!

Always a pleasure to play
Let me begin by saying this is the best clubhouse I have seen at a public golf course. I recommend taking full advantage of the facilities while playing here. The locker room is fantastic. I know it sounds funny making such a big deal of the clubhouse but you will see what I mean if you play here.
As for the course, it is in great shape as always. The greens are quick and the fairways are lush. The course takes advantage of the rolling terrain of this part of Florida. While the fairways are wide, this course is still very challenging. Even from the middle tees, the course stretches to 6500 yards, this leads to a few long par 4's. Certainly one of my favorite courses, can't wait to play here again.
We thank you for playing here at Bella Collina, and are happy to hear that you had a great experience. We hope to see you again soon!
Amazing Experience
The facilities and course was awesome! This was the most relaxing fun round of golf I have ever played. The course was tough to find because GPS takes you to wrong entrance . Overall a world Class!
Not your average Florida course
Great value it's an amazing layout worth the trip. Paid $35 but it's worth more
Good course for a good price
Course is in good shape. Solid condition all the way around. Got a great deal through golfnow. Started at noon on a Friday and played as a single. Saw other people on the course, but didnt run into anyone ahead of me until the 18th hole. Played in 3 hours. Course is tough, but it is not unreasonable if you play from the correct tee.
MUST PLAY
THIS COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH LOT'S OF ROLLING HILLS AND AN UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF SAND TRAPS, THE GREENS WERE UNDULATING AND PLAYED AT A GOOD SPEED. THE CLUB HOUSE IS PHENOMENAL, I WOULD LIVE IN THE LOCKER ROOM IF THEY WOULD LET ME. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS NO CART GIRL AND THE HALFWAY HOUSE WAS NOT OPEN.
Not as difficult as it seems
A number of people mentioned to me that due to the layout of the course, it was an extremely difficult course with fairways slanting severely making it difficult to hold the fairways with drives or second shots. After playing a number of courses with severe side slopes and major elevation changes, this course didn't seem that tough. The worst sloping fairways were handled by shaping the tee shot into the slope. I did not have a single shot run off the fairway due to the slope.
Layout seemed really really strange. And not marked at all. Got lost and ended up at wrong hole several times due to missing directions for next hole.
GPS on cart was marginally useful (reset it self several times).
Lots of bunkers with tons of small gravel pebbles in them. Bunkers really weren't that good. And course considering the slopes was still pretty wet all over, Now I'll grant we had a large rainstorm the prior night but didn't expect very soft conditions in middle of several side slopes. Greens still recovering from aeration and didn't roll well.
Course did have a lot of length, perhaps too much for the average golfer. One Par 3 was 215 from the white tees to the pin. Another was 180 severely uphill into the wind. A couple of par-4s from the white tees were well over 400 (445, 432). 6345 from the white tees. That would make the pace of play slow if there were many golfers but it was almost totally empty the day I played (a Sunday no less).
Great course amazing clubhouse and lockerroom
Great course but very challenging due to lots of sand traps. Fun course if you hit the fairways. Also greens are tricky with lots of breaks.
A Nice Change
If you are looking for a nice change of scenery and a variety of Elevation changes then this course is for you! Fully test your capacity for hitting from uneven lies but big greens with nice mounding make for some fun shots! Clubhouse is one of the coolest of any in Orlando.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the greens could have been better. Not bad but this type of grass has a lot of grain and they had them a little furry. Pin placement needed a change as well because holes were well worn. I have seen the greens better here for sure so hopefully an anomaly and not a new trend. With that said I will play here again for sure as I appreciate the layout and nice variety of different types of holes.
So check it out!
Great layout with great facilities
The course is a very playable Faldo layout. Depending on the tees that you play, you can make it as long or short as you want. My dad played the course at about 6000 yards and I played it back at around 7300+ rounds. Lots of bunkers and good sized greens. The course is in great shape even 3 weeks after aerating the greens. Nice driving range with lots of targeting options. Huge chipping green with a good bunker that is similar to some of the bunkering on the course.
Food and beverages are pretty high priced, but for what the course is, it isn't extreme.
The clubhouse and locker room are amazing. Great architecture and something that you will want to come back and visit. There is even a spa.
A must visit!
Clubhouse is truly spectacular, built to replicate a castle in Tuscany its more like a small village. take time to enjoy the facilities, steam room, amazing jacuzz!! Excellent practice facilities course is challenging with lots of elevation changes and side hill lies. Good condition. Nice greens. Put this on your bucket list.
A hidden gem!!!
From the beginning, this course had everything to offer! Rolling hills, great views, excellent bunkers and fantastic greens. The front nine is by far the best, but the whole track is more then worth visiting again and again. Would recommend to anyone at any time.
Best in town
Great time of the year to enjoy this beautiful course. Friendly staff, awesome facilities and great fairways/greens conditions. Very challenging due to the hills in this part of town. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go again.
We greatly apologize for this negative experience that you had, but I can assure you that the two issues you have mentioned will not be something of the future. We are currently working on a bunker restoration project to remove all rocks/gravel and the greens have greatly improved since the time you have played. I can also assure you that you will not run into a problem like this with our staff again. We hope that you give us a second chance and we can provide you the positive experience we strive to have every guest leave with.
