NICE GREENS
Great place to play, always enjoy playing at this course, all the staff are very friendly. Greens are in great shape, bunkers had nice fluffy sand.
Great course for both the beginner and experience golfers.
The course is very forgiving but on the other hand can be very challenging due to the many trees dotting the landscape.
Take a cart.
Very nice course. It's an old course and very long. I walked and by the 15 th I wished I had taken a cart. All in all the course is in great shape. The driving range has automatic ball tees. Very cool.
A great course for the value
A bit windy on day of play but, the greens and fairways were in great shape.
This. course has really improved over the last few years
Really glad I got out there. It was a great outing.
great fairways
Loved it nice people great conditions. The weather was perfect.nice fast round.
Good Twilight Deal
Fairways and greens were in better shape than I've seen in a longtime. Good round!
great courss
had a great time golfing on a warm spring day. fairway and greens are in pretty good shape
Condition
Greens and fairway were in great condition but the tee boxes need some work. The pace of play was very slow. Over 5 hours for 18. The course was over full with players
Course condition/pace of play
Best condition I've ever seen. Marshall's need to move players along, instead of of just riding around enjoying the weather.
Haggin Oaks, a pleasant round of golf.
Played in the afternoon. Weather was great. Course conditions were fairly dry considering recent rain fall. Fairways are spotty consistent with time of year. Greens in great shape, flags were in very challenging places. Pace of play was excellent. Great value for your money.
Average average average
Course looked great considering the recent rain. Greens were slow but great condition. Fairways also in great condition. This course is the definition of average nothing amazing and nothing horrible. I do however wish pace of play was watched more closely. I always see a Marshall at the 5th tee but then never see them again . Getting a round here in under 4-1/2 is nearly impossible unless your first group of the day. Getting an actual 4-1/2 seems to also be difficult. I know this when going into it so no disappointment but wish that it would move faster. Guess this happens as it is always busy and being in center of sacramento those who are new typically find it easier than the drive up the hill. I also believe the course is overpriced like its sister courses Bartley and bing as they are as expensive as much nicer courses( ridge, darkhorse, turkey , teal bend and essentially every other course in 20 miles)
Played faster than expected
Was expecting a slow round, but moved along OK. the value was excellent.
Very nice conditions
Even in a drought Haggin Oaks fairways were green and well groomed. The greens were tough with pin placement but very clean and well taken care of. A lot of fun, did have a very slow couple ahead of us but the day was sunny and the wild life was abundant. Great day of golf.
First timer, but will be back.
I've been to Haggin Oaks to purchase some gloves and other golf stuff before but I've never played either course. Got a great deal on golfnow to play the Makenzie course at around noon so I left early and got 2 clubs regripped and had a wonderful breakfast in their eatery. Everyone I spoke to in the golf shop was extremely friendly and helpful.
Once play began I was greatful that I had been paired up with some fellows who knew the layout since I never played there before. I don't use a gps for distances so I rely on yardage markers to help me make decisions on which club to hit. I couldn't find them on some of the holes. My only other "negative" would be that the sand traps are more like dirt traps and the recent rain made then really "gooey" in the low spots. I did see that they have been re-doing some of them with the fluffy white sand so hopefully they will do them all. If they fix the marker situation and all the traps then this course becomes 5 stars for me.
alister mckenzie classic
enjoyed my 15th round at this course as it is great playing this restored classic. pace of play was great and course marshalls kept everyone moving along. the greens were excellent and challenging. the practice facility is also great, but could use better yardage markers on the range.
Relaxing and energizing round
Easy onlint tee time booking, very friendly and helpful staff, even the rental clubs were up to date and in good shape. Wellmainained interesting and sometimes challenging course design. Although settled in a triangle of highways it is a perfect retreat. I enjoyed this round prior to a businessmeetings and had a relaxing and energizimg experience.
Best green in sacramento
Three reasons why I play Haggin fast greens 12.5, it's long off black the tee, and best value..
Fun course
Not too busy and pace was moving along. The course was in good condition and beautiful weather.
