Airways Golf Course

As you come to the 9th hole order a hot dog from the club house. Food is great and the staff are great...or arrive 20 minutes early before tee time and have a breakfast burrito..

I play this course from time to time so I can see something different from my home course. This is a good value when you get a Hot Deal from Golfnow.com. Some of the fairways need some work. They are several fairways that have dirt patches, but other then that, this course was a good value for the price.

Course has potential, needs to fix fairways, seed bald areas, greens are decent but slow. Range balls need replacing.

I have played Airways golf course for several years now. The staff there is friendly and very helpful this course is a must play 18 holes with cart is usually around $30. courses is in good condition and well maintained never overbooked or crowded, course marshals are present but never pushy or rude I don't believe I've ever spoke to a Marshall there about anything other than general conversation or hi how's the game going today usually when the Marshalls approach you it is just how is the course playing today are you having a good round and then usually he is on his way. I recommend this course for anybody traveling through the Fresno Madera area you will not find a better course for the price. Club house is clean and well stocked mini good selections sodas water sports drink beer and food is decent and freshly prepared to order bathrooms and locker rooms are clean and well kept I always have a good day at Airwaves in Fresno California and I know you will too.

Great course! Would have not played in the rain, but since it was booked on golf now, I didn't think I could get a rain-check or refund. Couldn't putt out half the holes. But the course is a blast to play.

My husband and I like to golf at least one's a week, some time we go more often to other course in the area of Fresno.

Great place to get away and play golf easy to get to and fun to play

I grew up playing this course as a kid, and it had been awhile since I had played it. I was very pleased to see that the greens were in very good shape and the course was kept up. It is a great course for beginners and seniors and it will also test the accuracy of a low handicapper. I will be back.

Just started playing this summer and have been to several courses in the valley during the time span. Airways is nice for a city-owned municipal course and priced very well. Since I've started enjoying and playing the game, I guess I can call this my home course for now, playing it about 2-3 times a month while improving my game.

The greens are definitely well-maintained and play fairly fast during the afternoons. Bunkers are nice, soft and fluffy so if you do land in the sand traps, it's an easy read to get back onto the green in a shot. Players are courteous enough to use the rakes to ensure, in a sense, bunker consistency. The fairways are good enough for you to get good strikes, not the best, but then again, not the worst either.

Overall great valued course that I would recommend if you enjoy the game. If you're travelling through Fresno and are near the airport, this is a great location within the city limits to get a round in. At least half of your shots will be from the greens or within 50 yards, and airways plays great around the pin.

We selected a tee time for 11:06 but were instructed that we would have to wait for a bit because there were three groups ahead of me. Not a problem, we understood that booking cannot account for walk-ins. It only was about a twenty minute wait, not a big deal. The only issue we had with staff was on the third hole a staff member drove a golf cart to us and said we were going to slow and holding people up. We realize that our skill level was beginner but lets be real here airways , you're not a PGA destination. It, in my opinion, was a rude thing to ask or expect, players understand that faster players are encouraged to play through or go to the next hole. Other than the staff member, the grounds were a pleasant experience and I will be returning, in hopes that we aren't told we are too slow again.

I've played airways several times recently. It certainly holds true the old saying "you get what u pay for" as it is your typical muni course. LOTS of people that for the most part are fun mid to high handicappers that want to "play out" EVERY SHOT even if its their 8th shot to reach a green. As a result expect a very slow pace of play. Played yesterday and finally at the 17 th tee my group had reached the 5 hr mark so having no more patience for the group ahead of us putting out all 6 putts (each) we just gave up and headed home. Probably the coolest part of playing here is watching (and feeling) the military jets taking off and landing along the 6th hole

the green was much better and the fairway too. I like it.

I mistakenly took it for a HOT deal and missed the 9 hole part. Had to pony up full bore at the turn. Recently I played Valley Oaks for $20. with a cart. Definitely a hot deal. Haven't seen anything like it since. Hope it wasn't a mistake. This sites worth the money if you course shop.

This place is Slow! Course needs attention but price reflects both of these issues.

Great staff and restaurant, very good food. Greens are getting in great shape and course is in the best shape in years.

The greens are very well maintained and not overly hard to read. Beware though, you must hit the ball relatively straight to avoid the trees. The fairways could use a little attention as there are some bare spots. overall not a bad little Muni course.

Great course for the average novice player. Challenging short and long play with cross winds near airport.

The staff have worked extremely hard to get this course back in shape. Greens are best they have ever been.

Course has good greens, but needs fairways to be more defined & better maintained.
