Nice course
It's an easy course, which is probably why I broke 90! Makes for a fun outing. We had no one behind us, and were not waiting very long for the group in front. Fairways in great shape, greens are ok, bunkers are at least raked out, which is more than I can say for a lot of courses out there.
I'd def play here again.
Great value!
Despite heavy recent rains, the course was in great shape. Pace of play was fatastic at 3 1/2 to 4 hours for 18 holes. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
weekend golfer friendly,wide fairways.
I enjoyed the golf outing with friends,I wish pace of play was faster as we waited at every tee box at least 5 + minutes to hit, course ranger should be more involved to move the slow groups. As the popular saying goes while we are young.
Watch Out
Course was pretty well maintained however there a very close quarters and it seemed on almost every fairway you'd have to hold up for another golfing hitting to another green. Had to wait at least 5 minutes on each hole at the tee and sometimes in the fairway as well. Course plays pretty easy and greens are kept in pretty good shape. Only real complaint was the zig zagging golf carts on most holes.
The course was easy to navigate. Greens were well maintained. The first cut of rough was consistant throughout the course.
Enjoyable for novice as well as low handicapers. The course was well maintained. Although the course is short, the holes provided several different looks.
Open layout
Due to the fact that we have had so much rain in the last couple weeks the Sudbury River was over its banks and flooded a decent amount of the course......the grounds crew were doing thier best to get the water off(a few pumps running to drain lower areas) and if it wasnt for all the rain we had it would be in good shape for an inexpensive course. Good value and a great place to bring a newer golfer. Greens were surprisingly good as well....
Terrible pace of play
Not only did we tee off 45 minutes after our tee time, it took 3.5 hours to play the FRONT 9. We were on pace for a 7 hour round, so I decided to leave after 9. I'd had enough. Below average course is not worth the 10 minute wait on every tee box.
A fun afternoon.
Very friendly staff, nice greens, had fun. A small golf course with very close adjacent fairways. Some short holes, drivable par 4s ans short par 5s cause serious backups. I'd go back, not a great test of golf but good overall.
Easy but good course
The course was in good codition. It is not overly tough as a par 70. Holes felt repetitive at some points, but overall a solid course and good value.
Supeiaing
Amazing condition and nice and open for not so perfect shots.
Nice, wide-open course in great condition
The course is excellent for the average bogey / bogey + golfer, with wide fairways and a sufficient number of bunkers and trees to make it a minor challenge. It's not "target golf" and is an enjoyable place to play. We played quickly on an overcast afternoon.
Greens in great condition
Nice course. Not a difficult course but enough challenges that you have to pay attention to what you do and where you hit. Rough was high and difficult. Greens were in great shape. Will play again.
Short course but solid conditions
I played the morning after some rain showers and the course was in much better shape than a visit I had earlier in the season. I paid 22 for 18 with a cart and got my round finished in just about three hours. The fairways are all pretty tight together so there are constant "fores!" being shouted, but I had fun and would go back at the price anytime. The par 3's are pretty fun layouts along with some short par 4 's (one is very driveable-265 yards). The par 5's are kept very simple. If you keep your driver in play this course is ripe for a low score. My round time is not typical though as my previous times there have been 4.5 hour rounds.
Pace of play the major problem
Pretty old corps of golfers who still think they belong at the blue tees made this course very slow ths day. Was ironic to see our group and the group behind comprised of 30-40 y/o golfers playing the white tees. Wish people knew their ability and selected the tees accordingly.
Wayland CC
40$ w/ a cart. Pretty good deal. Course is in real good shape. Played behind some hackers but we finished in under 4 hours so I can't complain. Course is a bit short and kind of easy, but i think it was worth the price of admission. I would recommend going on a weekday.
Good value
Some of the greens need work, such as top dressing and grass needs to be the same.
Course in good condition for April
Usually this course is under water until May, this year however, the conditions of the greens and fairways are very good. I know they put a lot of money into drainage and maintenance, it has paid off. I was able to book a round with a cart for $25. Excellent value.
GolfNow makes it worthwhile
Wayland Country Club is fine for the high to mid-handicap golfer but might disappoint the better players. The course is reasonably maintained and the greens were quick and clean. The price through GolfNow makes it well worthwhile.
Course is in fair condition
Tees were littered with golf tees, fairways were in fair condition, gtrrns were ok(very fast)
Ok for what it is
Average public course. Adjacent fairways mean you need to be on guard for errant shots. Greens decent but variable.
