The Olympic at Gold Mountain Golf Course
About
Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington offers two championship courses, the Olympic and Cascade, both of which are known as two of the best public courses in the greater Seattle area. The Olympic Course is the more challenging of the two with more hills and water hazards. Dramatically sculpted from the thick Pacific Northwest forest, the driving corridors are surprisingly generous. Towering evergreens line the fairways and there are significant elevation changes throughout, making it a complete workout to walk the course. The layout's most challenging element is the undulating greens, which are often guarded by bunkers and mounding. The final four holes are the most memorable featuring a combination of water, trees, and stunning views. The final hole on the Olympic Course is a drivable par 4 that is the perfect finish to your round.

Great condition
The golf course is one of the dryest I have played in the off season, it has great practice facilities
Championship venue
The Olympic has been a gem since day 1 and continues it's championship form. Always well maintained and tees for every level of golfer.
waiting game.
I love the course that's not the problem. problem was they sent me out as a single with about 4 to 6 foursomes and even a 5 some in front of me. It was pouring rain and I had to wait like crazy already passing 3 pairs. By this time I was soaked tired of waiting and on the hole 8 I decided to quit. I feel like I wasted my money, gas and time for this trip. This should have been figured out and they should have told me how busy it was, pair me, or give me the option to play the Cascade course which probably was empty. Gold mountain both of the courses are beautiful but they need to communicate better.
A great wet day !
A great price for a great course! the greens were impeccable! Fairways were also in top shape! A great course at a exceptional price !
Fantastic
The people of Gold Mountain are fantastic!!! Friendly, helpful, positive! Everything you want when arriving and leaving a course. The weather held out and the course played extremely well considering it poured down rain in the morning. Greens were smooth and true and the fairways were firm. A delight to play, even though I kept hitting foul balls.
great time in the trees
Played for the first time. Very nice course in great shape. Great experience from the staff to driving range to the course. Fairways are pretty wide . Greens were in great shape.I would definitely come back.
Spectacular course
One of the nicest courses I have played despite the recently aerated greens (very sandy and bumpy). The layout and views are wonderful. A must play if in the Seattle area and one of the best values. We played the 36 hole special. Cascade was ok but Olympic is great.
What A Treat!
Playing Gold Mountain Olympic was quite a treat. The course is beautifully maintained. Play smart golf and you will survive this course. I found that playing for the 150 marker was key in my success, but remember the fairways are hard and the greens are fast so the ball rolls quite a ways. I had a great time and will be playing this one again and again!!
One of the best course in seattle
Reasonable price, excellence condition, fast greens, slope rating 132, challenging for all skill level.
Can't beat the Hot Deals!
The Olympic Course has always been a local favorite of mine. The course was in superb shape and the greens are running on the faster side. If you have the chance to play it, you won't be disappointed!
Incredible course, terrible weather.
This is one of my favorite courses anywhere and believe one of the best values for the type of course I have played. After the best summer the Northwest has ever seen we happened to play on the worst day of the summer, unfortunately for our group it rained every hole.
Execellent as usual
Now I have played both Gold Mountain courses twice and each time they are in excellent shape. This was the first time however that it rained and the greens were still super fast. The round was the longest of the 4 times i've played nearly 5 hours, but for the money and the condition of the course you can't beat it. Its a top 5 Municipal course in the U.S that I've played. Its more than worth your while to play the Olympic course because it will test every club in your bag while still being fair. My favorite course in Washington behind Chambers Bay.
Not what it once was!!!
I play this course several times a month, (it is close to my house) and have played this course a lot over the past 5-6years. Gold Mountain was in great shape just after they hosted The Nationals and for a little bit after that. Since the city has bought them out they have declined greatly.
The price is way too high for the course conditions and quality. Fairways are badly taken care of, greens are greatly mismanaged and the carts need to be replaced. As I said, I play here several times a month, so this isn't a one time complaint. I play on weekends and weekdays. I have yet to play on a weekend and have the cart person come around more than once, if at all. The halfway house is hardly open, which causes huge backups on the back nines. They do have marshals out on the course, and for the most part they are very nice, yet very worthless. In the last 6 months of playing here I have yet to play a round under 5hrs. They group tee times way too close together and often let fivesomes out together.
I have asked about the beverage cart on several occasions to be told, no one showed up today. Maybe its time to hire people, especially when you're charging $80 plus with a cart, its not that nice of a course.
The range needs reseeding greatly. It is nothing but sand.
I wish this course (both courses) would get the attention they deserve, it really was once a very great place to play. The views are great, its just too bad you're paying for them as opposed to the golf.
Golf Great, Dinner Disappointing
The golf course is outstanding, pace was a bit slow for a Friday afternoon but Prime Rib dinner was disappointing. No service, no drink, meat was disappointing, carrots undercooked; had to ask for salad, took too long to deliver dinner.
First time at Gold Mountain
This is an extremely challenging course. However, there are holes you can score on. I walked the course on a hot August day. It was very enjoyable but definitely a struggle. This is a course where you would need to play it around 10 times to score well. A lot of blind shots and rolling hills. Overall, it's a great course for the value.
This is not where you play to relax
My buddy and I booked this tee time for 7am. We get there at 6:40 to check in and grab a breakfast sandwich. As we are walking to the pro shop. I here my last name and the starter saying we are next up and please check in. They changed our tee time to 6:50 instead. We instantly were in a rush to get our stuff and get to the tee box. Then the starter was litterly a baby sitter the whole 18 holes checking in with us to make sure we were on pace. The whole experince just raised my blood pressure and was NOT FUN at all. My buddy and I after the round said it was my worst experience playing golf. I will never be going back.
Great course
The course was in great condition. Greens rolled true and fairways were firm. It was the slowest round we have ever played at Gold Mountain; at least one tournament on Olympic that day. Saw a marshall at the turn but never on the course.
Difficult but fair, beautiful scenery
Great day at Gold Mountain Olympic course!! We will return and use Golfnow.com for reservations.
