Madrona Links Golf Course
About
Madrona Links Golf Course first opened in 1978, and has since become one of the most active clubs in the Puget Sound area. Located in Gig Harbor, the course is conveniently located on the peninsula with easy access to Tacoma Narrows and Highway 16. The layout has a classic links design that is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels. Small, deep bunkers frame both the greens and fairways. Madrona Links requires accuracy, but it's not overly punishing if you're slightly errant. With only gently rolling hills, the golf course is an easy walk. At just over 5,600 yards from the back tees, it's relatively short but you will still face some challenging shots. This popular course is one of the best values in the area.

nice greens care
we got rained out after 11 holes but it was a nice track
Madrona Links...always pleasant
We play here weekly and very much enjoy the course. It's in very nice condition; greens are in great shape.. Anxiously awaiting the opening of the new restaurant!
Enjoyable short course
Very fun little public course in Gig Harbor. The greens were surprisingly fast and the conditions were great. For the money it was totally worth it.
First time at Madrona Links
Before I joined GolfNow I didn't know that this course existed. Which is a little odd seeings how it is only a 20 minute drive from my home. Was surprised how nice of a course it is. The bar and grill is under remodel but when done will only add to this great course. I would and will suggest it to anyone and I will be going back quite often. This course is well worth the price and with GolfNow discounts makes it an awesome deal. Thanks GolfNow.
Madrona
Course is well maintain and playable especially for the higher handicaps. Greens were good and can be tricky. Overall very satisfied
Beautiful, fast greens in excellent condition!
My brother and I have played Madrona Links many times in the past. Yesterday was the first time in about two years. We played using the Golf Now discount and were very pleased at how it all worked out. As usual we love the course and the friendly staff and are going to be playing Madrona on a regular basis.
2014 US Open practice greens???
You typically come to Madrona to do some decent scoring and push yourself. When they roll the greens like they did and stick some pins in absolute jack a** locations it lets me know to spend my money elsewhere. The course is in fine shape. The greens were stupid. On average I hit 9-12 GIR in a round of golf. This day I hit 4. They simply were not holding. A par 5 and 2 par 4's I was chipping within 20 yards and balls rolled off slopes. I can't believe the older folks that call this their home course can be too pleased with their scores ballooning...unless they have Alzheimer's and they don't even recognize it.
Madrona Links
Course was in great shape, the lady behind the counter was wonderful.
Friendly staff
First time playing this course. Greeted by friendly Guys in pro shop started our round off with a smile. Pace for 18 was great considering it was a beautiful PNW Sunday and many people out golfing.
Fun course, good value
I just started golfing 8 months ago, and the vast majority of my golf has been at Canterwood. I found this course to be a LOT shorter and therefore easier for me. It was an easy course to walk, mostly flat, and the drainage is great there. The course was in excellent condition. The greens (always a challenge for me) are exceptionally deceptive and challenging! But they were in great shape and a lot of fun to play. I would play here again...
Very nice !!
Greeting at the pro shop was very friendly and accommodating . The course was in great condition and we played at our pace without delay. Eager for the restaurant to reopen , it has been very good in the past.
Great day!
The rain stopped, so I went online and found a tee time that would work for us. It was a super rate, at a course that we enjoy playing. The greens were really consistent and in great shape. In spite of all the rain, it was well drained and relatively dry.
Great condition but......
The course is in great condition for this time of year, and is a good value. The only disappointment is the restaurant is under construction and there isn't even a beverage cart. 4 hours in the hot sun with no refreshment carts or water points can equal trouble so bring your own!
Madronia
had a lot of fun. it's short but makes you place your shots. will go back.
Nice to be back...
Until this round, I hadn't played Madrona for about 7 years. My memory of the course is good, but I'd known it to be one of the wetter Springtime courses in the area.
I was pleasantly surprised that the course is in very good condition, especially the greens. They were fast and true, but soft enough to hold shots from most anywhere.
Unfortunately, the restaraunt is being renovated, so no food service at the moment. This probably is part of the reason for the reduced fees that make it a great deal. I always carry snacks and enough water for the round anyhow.
Excellent
With all the rain we have had, the course was in great condition. Greens fast in the sun, much slower in the shade.
A hilly course
It's a challenge to walk this course. I would play it again but would use the carts to ride.
